We want you to know how the information on Vliegparkeren comes about. On this page we explain in plain words what we show, how we calculate and how we earn money.
Which providers do we show?
We collect parking providers at Dutch airports. We only show a provider if we have a price we can back up. Providers whose price we do not know are not shown in the comparison.
Where do the prices come from?
Most prices are indicative. We take rates that have been published openly, for example on the provider's website or on other websites, and record the date on which we checked them. You can recognise such prices by the ± sign and the indicative label with the check date. Providers may have changed their prices in the meantime. You always see the final price at the provider before you pay.
How do we calculate the price for your trip?
Providers do not always publish a price for every number of days. That is why we calculate as follows:
- If we have a price for exactly your number of days, we use it.
- If your number of days lies between two known prices, we calculate evenly between the two.
- If a price for short or longer periods is missing, we estimate it with a fixed ratio between the prices for different numbers of days.
- For every day after the first eight days we use the provider's price per extra day. If that is not known, we use a fixed share of the price for eight days.
We show every price that includes an estimate as indicative. Only a price based entirely on the provider's own rates is shown without a ±.
In which order do you see the providers?
By default we sort by the lowest total price for your trip. You can also sort by the shortest transfer or by rating. Providers cannot buy a higher position and we do not show paid placements.
How do we earn money?
Comparing is free. With some providers we have an arrangement, directly or through an affiliate network: if you book via our link, we may receive a fee. With other providers we simply refer you to their website, without a fee; the button is then called Go to provider website. You never pay extra through us, and whether we receive a fee does not affect the order.
Ratings and photos
We only show a rating if there are genuine reviews, and always with the number of reviews. We do not publish made-up or bought reviews. We only use photos of providers with permission; without a photo we show a neutral illustration.
