Who we are

Company details to follow

The company name, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number, address and e-mail address of Vliegparkeren will be listed here before the website officially goes live.

Vliegparkeren is a website on which you can compare parking providers at Dutch airports. In this privacy statement we explain which personal data we process, why we do so and which rights you have. We deliberately keep it limited: we do not collect more than we need.

Who is responsible?

Vliegparkeren is the controller for the personal data processed through this website. Our company details are shown at the top of this page.

Searching and comparing

When you search, we use the airport and your travel dates to calculate prices. That search is kept in your browser's address bar, so you can share or save it. We do not store your searches and do not link them to you.

Clicking through to a provider

If you click a button to go to a provider, that click passes through our server. We then record:

  • which offer and airport you viewed and which travel dates you had entered;
  • the page you came from and any campaign codes in the link (UTM codes);
  • an anonymous session code, without a name or e-mail address;
  • your IP address, but only hashed: we store an irreversible code, not the address itself.

We use this data to see which providers visitors find interesting, to prevent abuse and to settle accounts with providers and affiliate networks if you book with them. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a service that works well and securely. In the link to the provider we pass on your travel dates and a click code, so you do not have to enter everything again and a booking can be attributed to us. Whatever you enter at the provider afterwards is covered by that provider's privacy statement.

Account

You can use Vliegparkeren without an account. If you do create an account, we process your e-mail address, your name if you provide it, an encrypted (hashed) version of your password, your favourites and your settings. We do this in order to provide your account. You can export your data and delete your account.

Applying as a partner

If you apply as a partner as a parking provider, we process the details you enter in the application form: company name, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number, contact person's name, email address, phone number, the airports where you offer parking and your additional information. We use these details to assess your application, contact you and administer the partnership. If your application is approved, we create a partner account for you. We keep the details for as long as needed for these purposes and delete them at your request.

Cookies and local storage

We only use functional cookies and local storage: for your language choice, your preference for a light or dark theme and, if you are logged in, your session. We currently use no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking. You can read more about this in our cookie policy.

Sharing with others

We do not sell your data. We only share it with parties that help us run the website, such as our hosting provider, and only as far as necessary. We make agreements with those parties about protecting your data.

How long do we keep data?

We do not keep data longer than necessary for the purposes above. We keep account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete your account data and favourites.

Security

We protect your data with appropriate measures. We only store passwords hashed, use an encrypted connection and only give access to data to people who need it for their work.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or to have it deleted. You can also object to the processing or ask for your data to be transferred. To do so, send a message to the e-mail address at the top of this page; we respond within the period set by the GDPR. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

If we change this privacy statement, you will see it from the date at the top of this page.
