Guide

Good to know before you book

What is valet parking?

With valet parking you do not have to look for a parking space or take a shuttle. You drive to Schiphol, a member of the provider's staff takes over your car and key at an agreed spot near the terminal, and parks the car at a site run by the provider. After your trip you let them know you have landed, and your car is brought back to the agreed point. This page only shows providers of valet parking at Schiphol.

Who is valet parking useful for?

Valet parking is especially convenient if you want to spend little time on departure and arrival. Think of travellers with children, a lot of luggage or an early flight. You walk straight from your car into the departure hall and do not have to wait for a shuttle bus after a long trip. The trade-off is that you hand your key to someone else and trust the provider to take good care of your car.

What to look for in a valet provider

  • Where does the handover take place, and how do you check in on departure and on return?
  • Where is your car parked: indoors or outdoors, and is the site guarded or fenced?
  • What does the provider say about damage and liability?
  • How does the provider deal with delayed flights or a later return?
  • What are the cancellation terms?

Consider taking a few photos of your car and the mileage yourself at the handover. That gives you something to fall back on later if there is any doubt.

Prices of valet parking

For every valet provider we show a total price for the number of days you park. Prices with a ± are indicative: we derived them from publicly published rates and state the date on which we checked them. Providers sometimes charge surcharges, for example for a handover outside certain hours; you will see these at the provider. Enter your own travel dates for the price of your trip.

Valet or shuttle after all?

Unsure whether to choose valet or shuttle? With shuttle parking you park yourself and take a shuttle bus to the terminal. That takes more time, but with many providers you keep your key yourself. On our page about shuttle parking at Schiphol you can compare those providers. To see all types side by side, have a look at the general page on parking at Schiphol.

Booking with the provider

You reserve and pay directly with the valet provider. The confirmation, the agreed handover point and the phone number for your return come from them.

Frequently asked questions

Questions and answers

How does valet parking at Schiphol work?

You drive to an agreed spot near the terminal and hand your car and key to a member of the provider's staff. They park the car. After your trip you report that you have landed and your car is brought back to the agreed point.

Do I have to hand over my car key?

Yes, with valet parking you hand over your key, because a member of staff moves your car. If you would rather keep your key, look at shuttle parking; with many shuttle providers you park yourself.

What if my flight is delayed?

Pass on your flight number if the provider asks for it, and get in touch in case of a delay. How the provider handles delays and any extra days is set out in its terms.

Are the prices on this page final?

No. Prices marked with ± are indicative: we calculated them from publicly published rates and show the date on which we checked them. Providers change their prices regularly. You always see the final price at the provider before you pay.

Do I book with Vliegparkeren or with the provider?

You book and pay directly with the provider. We send you to their website; your reservation, confirmation and arrival instructions come from them. Comparing with us is free.
